The sun’s been out this week. Definitely time for an ice cream recipe I think. This green tea ice cream is perfect as a refreshing snack or to finish off any meal! I mix matcha powder into shop-bought vanilla ice cream – maybe it’s cheating a little bit but it means you can have exotic ice cream flavours that only take a few seconds to prepare! INGREDIENTS
1 tub vanilla ice cream
5 tbsp matcha (fine ground green tea powder)
Alternative flavours:
Anko*
Black sesame (toasted and ground/ chopped/ squished)
Chesnut paste
Yuzu
METHOD
1. Leave the ice cream out of the freezer until soft.
2. Mix in the matcha powder and put back in freezer.
